HomebrewDad was an avid ?
Homebrewer` who used to make beer and wine by the bucketful. I can distinctly remember him in the kitchen placing tops onto bottles of beer and stocking up his cellar with freshly produced batches of red and white wine. He started off with kits that contained everything you needed to produce a few gallons of wine. Then, after he became a touch more confident he started to use fruits as the basis for the wine such as blackberries, elderberries and gooseberries. Dad died a while back but I inherited his demijohns and they are currently languishing down in my cellar. It was only the other day when I came across a few of the glass jars and my thoughts turned to
Homebrew. I wouldn`t mind giving it a try myself to see if I could measure up to dear old dad. At first it would be challenge but I reckon over a period of time I could really get into making wines or beers at home. Money would be saved if I could produce a decent batch of
Homebrew because it`d save me having to buy wine from the store. Really I should have a word with mum to see if she kept any more of my dad`s
Homebrew equipment; if not, I`ll visit a nearby supplier and buy a starter kit.
